Hafsakah
I will be unable to blog until early May, so see you again with new posts when we are counting the Omer. Feel free to read old post, search and connect through the links until then.
Yesterday I posted about the delayed handover of Jericho. The IDF completed it and now the Palestinians of Jericho govern themselves. You can read about it in this Ha'aretz article.
Hello. Today seems to be a good news day for Israel (may this continue to be so). Israeli troups turned over control of Jericho to the Palestinians (with Tulkaram, Qalqiya and Bethlehem on the short list for future cities) and the effort to remove Syria from Lebanon moves forward. (Now we just need to do something about Hizbollah.)
Shavuah tov! I recently added a search feature to this blog (see the right sidebar). I hope that it faciliatates finding information in previous posts.
In honor of today's siyyum of the 7-year cycle of daf yomi (daily study of a page of Talmud) I am posting some new links for Torah study. They appear in this post and in the margin where appropriate. (Thanks to Temple Sholom in Eau Clarie for many of the links.)
Torah & Tanach Targum Onqelos on the Torah with parallel Hebrew and Aramaic text (Mechon Mamre). Tikkun Korim (Unvocalized text as in the sefer Torah (Mechon Mamre).
Welcome! This is a personal blog where I reflect on life, Judaism and my healing from an abusive childhood (including incest and other forms of abuse) and a bit of politics. If you are a victim/ survivor/ thriver, or a friend/ significant other/ spouse/ partner of one, or if you are looking for more information, read and comment below. I began this blog in June of 2003 when I was looking for a place to speak out and I found a community of friends and support. Come on in, ya'll.
Below you will find a diverse collection of blogs which represent various political opinions, nationalities and religious outlooks. I share them as part of the blog community, not to advocate a particular view.
